Who we are
Omni JR is an AI tutoring product for Australian families. It is operated by the Omni JR team. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988.
Information we collect
- Parent account: name, email, password (hashed), billing information processed by our payment provider.
- Child profile: first name or nickname, year group, learning goals, strengths and areas to grow. We do not require a child's surname, address, school, or date of birth.
- Learning activity: lessons started, answers given, time actively spent, points earned. Used to adapt difficulty and show progress.
- Technical data: device type, browser, IP address (for security and abuse prevention).
How we use it
- Personalise lessons to the child's year group and ability.
- Show parents progress and weekly usage.
- Enforce the 6-hour weekly active-time limit per child.
- Operate the service, prevent fraud, and improve quality.
Children's privacy
A child never creates their own account — a parent or guardian creates and manages the profile. We do not show ads to children, do not sell children's information, and do not use children's content to train external AI models. Parents can review, edit or delete a child profile at any time from the Account page.
AI processing
Lesson prompts and the child's answers are sent to our AI provider to generate the next lesson screen or hint. We send only what is needed (year group, subject, current screen, the child's chosen answer). We do not send parent contact details to the AI provider.
Storage and security
Data is stored in managed, encrypted databases. Access is restricted to authorised staff. Passwords are hashed and never visible to us.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers we need to run Omni JR (hosting, AI inference, payments, email). We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can export or delete your account and all child profiles by emailing contact@omnijr.app. We will action requests within 30 days.
